icListen HF

icListen HF.jpg

The flagship icListen HF is recognized as the new standard in broadband digital marine acoustics. Use it to stream data, log data, or both.

icListen Smart Hydrophones are the world’s first digital hydrophone. Use the icListen for real-time listening and event detection, or as an acoustic recorder. icListen internal processing capabilities saves you time and provides you with the most accurate data possible, without the need for onerous gain settings.

  • Small enough to carry in one hand, allowing you to deploy with smaller craft, or deploy on autonomous vessels.

  • Powerful enough to be combined into simple or complex digital hydrophone arrays.

  • icListen is the most reliable and user-friendly hydrophone available. Understanding ocean sound has never been easier.

icListen HF Models include:

SC2-200m depth rated, standard hydrophone

SC2-X2-200m depth dated, designed for pile-driving

SC35-3500m depth rated, for deep sea deployments

SC60-6000m depth rated, for deep sea deployments

RB9-900m depth rated, low drift for accurate long term data collection

cListen Kayak-(coming soon) 900m depth rated, extra small, extra low power

icListen Kayak

icListen Kayak.jpg

The new architecture of icListen Kayak has simplified arrays. With the new Universal Hydrophone Bus, or UHB, users can now string up to 100 hydrophones on a single cable, making it easy to design and deploy, large scalable arrays. Updated Lucy software streamlined data processing and display, making managing multiple hydrophones on a single screen possible. USB, Serial and Ethernet connections are all possible for the Kayak, making it the simplest hydrophone to deploy, connect and process underwater sound.

Developed with AUV’s, ROV’s and gliders in mind, icListen Kayak is ultra-low power and extra small, drawing only 0.2W and measuring only 23mm in diameter.

icListen RB9-X2

icListen RB9-X2.jpg

Ensure regulatory compliance for marine construction, pile driving, or explosives with the icListen RB9-X2 hydrophone. Designed specifically for loud marine environments.

All our hydrophones can withstand harsh conditions in the field. Whether monitoring underwater construction (even with explosives!), or operating in extreme cold, the X2 can handle it. What makes this hydrophone remarkable is its peak input level of 214 dB! This gives it the ability to process extremely loud noise levels with no clipping.

Simply connect the RB9-X2 to your Launch Box, deploy it in the water, and start monitoring. The RB9-X2 hydrophone can wirelessly stream Sound Exposure Level (SEL) and Sound Pressure Level (SPL) data direct to your computer, and our Lucy software will track these levels for you automatically in real time. Our software and accessories create a complete package to ensure your marine project will safely comply with all underwater sound regulations related to marine wildlife protection.

Applications for the icListen RB9-X2 Hydrophone:

  • Pile Driving (Wind Farms, Bridges, Piers)

  • Marine Construction

  • Explosive Monitoring

The RB9-X2 should NOT be used for:

  • Marine Mammal Monitoring

  • Ambient Sound Levels
